Bilal Muhammed Umar, Bashir Muhammed and Muhammed Maigari Abubakar are three Chad citizens who were arrested at Arawa and Mallam Inna areas of Gombe metropolis on Tuesday.

The Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS) suspect they are Boko Haram terrorists who belong to Albaranawi faction.

The Albarnawi faction of the Boko Haram operates in Chad and mostly the northern part of Borno State but went to Gombe State to carry out another atrocious attack.

During the operation, one of them, Bilal Muhammed Umar attempted to escape and was shot on the leg. He was however apprehended and is receiving medical treatment.

The suspected terrorists were also arrested with materials used to make Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) used for most terrorist attacks.

NTA reports that the suspects are undergoing preliminary investigation in custody of the security agencies.
