Celestine Babayaro 'Returns' To Chelsea
Celestine Babayaro is set to roll back the years when he shone like a million stars in the colours of London club, Chelsea.
The Nigerian legend will return to Stamford Bridge to don The Blues’ colours again this year, having been included in a roll call of stars invited for a celebrity match in May.
The return to Chelsea for Babayaro is coming more than thirteen years after he bid farewell to the London club.
In effect, Babayaro’s return to Stamford Bridge will not be to sign papers for a player’s contract, but to hobnob with some of the aces he lined out with during his heyday.
Details of the report indicate that ‘Cele’ is set to return to join the triple-trophy-winning class of 1998, who will all get back playing on the pitch at Stamford Bridge in a charity game against Inter Milan Legends on May 18.
Babayaro, back then was Chelsea’s most expensive teenager when he joined the club from Anderlecht in 1997 for a transfer fee of £2.25 million.
