If you are looking to partner with a financial institution to build or buy your house, you should check well if your partner bank is approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

On Monday, the CBN in a Circular titled: “LIST OF PRIMARY MORTGAGE BANKS (PMBs) AS AT SEPTEMBER 30, 2018” released a list of banks that have its approval to operate in Nigeria.

The list shows that only 34 primary mortgage banks have approval to operate in the country.

These include: Abbey Mortgage Bank and AG Homes in Lagos, Akwa Savings in Akwaibom State, Aso Savings & Loans in Abuja and Brent (Skyfield) Savings in Lagos.

Others include: Centage Savings & Loans, City Code in Lagos, COOP Savings & Loans in Oyo State, Delta Mortgage Finance in Delta State and FBN Mortgages in Lagos.
