Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi was in the starting line up or Arsenal in their quarter final Carabao Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night but he ended on the losing side as Dele Alli's Spurs claimed a 2-0 win at the Emirates.

Son Hueng Min scored the opener for Tottenham in the 20th minute before Dele Alli wrapped up the win for Spurs with a delightful lob over Petr Cech in goal for Arsenal in the 59th minute.

Misfiring Iwobi was subbed off for Alexandre Lacazette in the 58th minute but the French striker could not rescue the situation either.

Iwobi has now gone 19 games this season without scoring a goal and some fans are already calling for his head.

In the other game played Wednesday at Stamford Bridge, Victor Moses was excluded from Chelsea’s match day squad for the game against Bournemouth.

After a goalless first half, Eden Hazard came off the substitutes' bench to score the match winner for the Blues in the 84th minute of the encounter.

Moses who looks destined for a move away from Chelsea in January has played just five times this season under Mauricio Sarri with his last game against BATE Borisov on the 25th of October in the Europa League.

Chelsea will face Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup while Manchester City will face Burton Albion in the other semi-final match.
