Controversial Nigerian striker, Emmanuel Emenike is in the news again as he, this time, chose to address the sensitive issue of racism in a comical way.

The 29-year-old who has been subjected to 'monkey chants' in the past during games in the Turkish league, got a barrage of racist slurs hauled at him on social media and responded in an epic way true to his personality.

Emenike told the extremists who flooded his Instagram timeline with negative posts that he is more than whatever they think and he is blessed with wealth beyond their wildest imagination.

"These are some of the comments I get everyday from some fans but please when you're calling me a monkey or sending me banana symbols please don't forget to put a "RICH monkey, " Emenike wrote on his Instagram and posted a picture where he screen grabbed some of the hurtful comments.

However, while Emenike is playing the victim, he could well be fined and banned after footages surfaced where he himself was acting racist.

The Nigerian striker was spotted by cameras allegedly insulting an opponent, Ali Yacoubi – Tunisia international, in the recent 2-1 win over Rizespor in the Turkish League.

Emenike was spotted by cameras during the game covering his nose and sniffing at Yacoubi in the closing stages of the nervy win.
