Rivers United, the only Nigerian team left in CAF club competitions is now in Kigali for Saturday's CAF Confederations Cup play-off second leg tie against Rayon Sports in Rwanda.

The team which traveled through Lagos on Thursday arrived in the Eastern African nation some minutes past 20:00hrs Nigerian time.

Rivers United have a two-goal cushion after securing a comfortable win over Rayon Sports in the first leg of this fixture played last Sunday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.

United will now be keen to hold on to their lead having capitulated last term when they took a 3-0 lead to Sudan but ended up losing 4-0 against Al-Merikh.

No Nigerian team has won the CAF Confederation Cup in its present format.

Rivers United's management and staff have that at the back of their minds and making it to the group stage remains their primary concern.
