Despite not playing at their optimum best on Sunday, Egyptian club, Zamalek have qualified for the group stage of the CAF Champions League ahead of Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers,

Rangers had all the work to do in Sunday’s game having lost the first leg 4-1 in Cairo last weekend but they ‘fall people’s hand’ as they could only manage a 2-1 win against the Whites.

While an early lead would have done a lot of good, Rangers only took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Tope Olusesi.

Substitute Zamalek striker, Bassem Morsi however hit the equalizer in the 71st minute to make the hosts' mission more difficult having headed into the round of 32 return-leg trailing 4-1 from Cairo.

Rangers then had a glimmer of hope after Egypt and Zamalek midfielder Tarek Hamed fouled an opponent inside the box, with the referee pointing to the spot.

Godwin Aguda made no mistake one minute from time sending Gennesh the wrong way to make the game 2-1 in favour of Rangers.

With no goals added, Rangers were dumped out on a  5-3 aggregate score line.
