It is not yet over for Plateau United in this year’s CAF Champions League, coach of the reigning Nigeria League champions, Kennedy Boboye has affirmed.

Plateau United were on Tuesday beaten 4-2 in their first leg First Round tie away to Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia.

Though they have the uphill task of beating the Tunisian giants at least by 2-0 in the second leg in Jos in a fortnight, Boboye insists it is possible.

“If the boys could keep their cool we can scale through,” Boboye told SCORENigeria

“Let’s see how it goes in the return leg.

“But all the same, I give credit to the boys for standing up to the many antics the Tunisia side brought before the match.”

He refused to be critical of the officiating.

“I don’t want to discuss the officiating as the match is over and we are going back home to prepare for the return leg,” he said.

“The Tunisians are a good side no doubts, but we are optimistic that we will progress to the group stage of the Champions League.”
