Enyimba Football Club of Aba has qualified for the semifinal of the CAF Confederation Cup after thrashing Rayon Sports of Rwanda 5-1 on Sunday.

After a goalless draw in the first leg, Enyimba went into the reverse fixture knowing a convincing victory is all they need.

Enyimba got into business as early as the 12th minute with Stanley Dimgba putting the home side ahead. But the visitors drew level when Bonfilscaleb Bimenyimana forced the ball pass goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai 12 minutes later.

Enyimba regained their lead, thanks to Ikouwem Utin’s 29th minute strike.

After the break, Enyimba continued from where they left off with goals from Sunday Adetunji (48), Joseph Osadiaye (60) and Isiaka Oladuntoye (80) securing a 5-1 victory for the People’s Elephant.

The Nigerian club will meet the winner between Raja Casablanca and Cara Brazzaville in the semifinal.
