Rangers have been handed Zambian opposition in Zesco United in the CAF Confederation Cup 2nd 1/16th round.

Rangers crashed out of the CAF Champions League on a 5-3 aggregate score to Zamalek.

CAF conducted the draw on Tuesday and pitched the Nigerian club against Zesco. The first leg will be played in Enugu.

For Nigeria’s other club, Rivers United, they will slug it out against Rayon Sports FC of Rwanda.

Rivers United threw away a 3-0 first leg lead to lose 4-0 against Al-Merreikh in Omdurman, and as a result crashed out of the CAF Champions League.

The pick of the pack is the battle between former continental champions, TP Mazembe of DR Congo and Algerian giants, JS Kabylie. Between the two clubs counts seven CAF Champions League titles; five for Mazembe and two for Kabylie, back on the continental front after some time off the scene.

First leg will be played between 7-9 April, while the second leg holds from 14-16 April 2017.
