The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed son of former FIFA executive member, Amos Adamu as the new CAF Director of Competitions.

Samson Adamu, who has made a name for himself in the organization of the COPA Lagos Beach Soccer Competition, now has a major role to play in CAF.

The Nigeria Football Federation's (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick announced his appointment on Friday on his twitter handle.

“While wishing the Super Eagles the best of luck in the final of the African Nations Championship, CHAN, I wish to announce, with pride, that Mr. Samson Adamu is the new CAF Director of Competitions and Mr. A.U Mustapha, SAN, is the new President of the CAF Appeals Board.”

Their appointments were announced at the 40th CAF General Assembly in Casablanca, Morocco.

Amos Adamu is an Executive Committee member of CAF.

Samson, the Chief Executive Officer of Kinetic Sports, has successfully organized seven editions of the COPA Lagos.
