Businessman Docked For Buying Stolen Goods
A Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ Court on Thursday in Abuja arraigned a businessman, Ezekiel David, 38, for allegedly receiving stolen property.
The Prosecutor, Gambo Musa, told the court that Paul Sunday who reside in Jabi area, Abuja reported the matter at the Wuse Police Station on May 8.
Musa said during investigation it was discovered that the defendant sold one of the coils.
He said the offence contravenes Section 319 of the Penal Code.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
His Counsel, John Ani, applied for his bail, assuring court that the defendant would not jump bail.
The Magistrate, Teribo Jim, granted David bail in the sum of N100,000 and one surety in like sum.
Jim said that the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court and adjourned the case till June 14 for hearing.
