What most Nigerians thought was an extension, may not be the case afterall.

This was the reaction of aides to the president following reports on the internet that Buhari has extended his vacation period.

The President had on August 3, 2018 commenced a 10-working day vacation in London.

Perhaps some people did not remember that Saturday and Sunday are not official working days.

This was the position of Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who cleared the air on the matter.

"No. There is no such extension. We announced 10 working days, meaning Monday to Friday +Monday to Friday," he told Daily Trust.

What this means is that Buhari’s vacation will end on Friday, August 17, and he is expected back in the office on Monday, the 20th.
