“We hope President Buhari will bid the Super Eagles farewell during a friendly planned for May 27 in Abuja,” Pinnick disclosed.

It is also understood that the Super Eagles will be launching their World Cup kits during this match.

However, while the NFF are yet to announce the opponents the Eagles will face in this farewell game, there are insinuations that an African country is being considered.

Nigeria will begin their World Cup campaign on June 16 against Croatia in Kaliningrad.

The team will then face Iceland before rounding off their group phase campaign against perennial foes, Argentina.
