President Muhammadu Buhari has resumed his tour of some states in Nigeria. 

He arrived in Bauchi on Thursday to commence a two-day official visit. 

Security was tight at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, before the President's arrival at about 10:20 am local time.

Governors of Bauchi State, Mr Muhammed Abubakar, that of Adamawa state, Mr Mohammed Jibrilla, and some ministers received him.

The Minister of Defence, Brigadier General Mansur Dan-Ali (rtd), and the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, were part of those present at the airport. 

Also at the airport were the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar; and the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

After the Guard of Honour ceremony at the airport, President Buhari headed to the Nigeria Air Force Base Special Operations Command, Bauchi, to inaugurate the Air Force Referral Hospital Bauchi.
