It is common knowledge that there are millions of young people without jobs in Nigeria.

And that has been a source of severe headache for the government after it failed to fulfill promises made during its campaign in 2015.

The deal could lead to the inauguration of a task force to tackle cases of unemployment in Abuja on Tuesday.

The committee, to be chaired by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Prof Stephen Ocheni.

According to Ocheni, the task force is saddled with the responsibility of convening a private sector round-table engagement as an exchange platform towards the identification and financing of eight projects for accelerated youth employment.
