The South-East leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State as the leader of the South-East Zonal Campaign Council of the president.

The leaders also agreed to work together for both the success of Buhari and party in other elections in the zone.

This was the outcome of the party’s meeting on Sunday at the Abuja Lodge of the Imo State Governor.

The meeting attracted who-is-who of APC extraction in the South East, including the Minister for Science, Ogbonnaya Onu.

Others include: Minister of Labour, Senator Chris Ngige, Reagan Offomba, Senator Osita Izunaso, Ifeanyi Araraume, Benji Uwajumogu,  Eze Madumere, Marcon Nlemigbo, Longers Anyanwu, Orikeze Ajumbe, Hon Omegara, Uche Nwosu and others.

In the meeting, it was agreed that all States in the South-East should nominate one person each for the Buhari campaign organization in the zone, led by Governor Okorocha.

It was resolved that the template would be extended to the LGAs and Wards in the South zone.

Okorocha gave an assured to carry everybody along, even though some members of the party still believe that Okorocha’s latest political antecedents, which tend to be anti-people, may fault Buhari's ambition.
