New invitee Brian Idowu has joined up with the rest of the Super Eagles squad in Russia ahead of the international friendly against Argentina on Tuesday.

The FC Amkar Perm defender is expected to make his Nigeria debut in the game that will be played in Krasnodar.

Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Idowu made his Russian Premier League debut for  for FC Amkar Perm on 6 May 2012 in a game against FC Terek Grozny.

The 25-year-old’s father is Nigerian and his mother is half-Russian, half-Nigerian.

After playing out a 1-1 draw with Algeria to finish the 2018 World Cup qualifier on top of Group B with 14 points, the Super Eagles will take on Argentina as preparation begins for the World Cup in Russia.
