BREAKING: Tobi Amusan Wins Nigeria’s First Medal At Asaba 2018
Nigerian athlete, Tobiloba Amusan has won the first medal for Nigeria at the 2018 African Athletics Championship.
To the delight of cheering fans inside the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Tobi came first in the 100m women’s hurdles final on Thursday afternoon.
Amusan finished with a time of 12.86 seconds to outrun her opponents.
South Africa’s Rikenette Steenkamp came second and was trailed by Ivorian Rosvitha Okou.She claimed gold in the 100 metres hurdles event at the 2015 African Junior Athletics Championships in Addis Ababa.
