The vice chairman of army committee in the senate, Abdullahi Danbaba has reported his chairman, George Akume to the upper chamber.

Danbaba, who is obviously not pleased with the work the committee has done so far, said that they have not done any over sight since 2016.

He blamed the chairman for the poor performance of the committee, accusing him of always absent at senate plenary.

Danbaba said the chairman does not have the committee, instead channel his energy and time towards fighting the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom.

Meanwhile the senate on Thursday resolved that the committee pays condolence visit to family of the soldiers killed in Borno recently by Boko Haram insurgents.

Senators were also asked to visit soldiers at the war fronts and every senator should adopt one family of the soldiers killed while also providing financial support to the family of the deceased.
