Nigeria’s upper legislative chamber has adjourned till September 25, 2018. 

This followed a motion on Tuesday by Chukwuka Utazi and seconded by Samuel Anyanwu.

But considering all that happened in the early hours of the day when security men stormed the homes of their leaders, the lawmakers did not go without some tough words.

The Senate has asked the Department of State Services (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately vacate the residence of the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu.

This comes as Senate President Bukola Saraki who shunned police invitation, was said to have slept in his office at the new Senate Building on Monday night.

He apparently saw this coming.
