President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2018 Appropriation Bill into law.

The President assented to the bill on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

It was confirmed via the President’s official Twitter handle. He also posted a video.

He signed the budget in company with the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Abba Kyari.

The Budget and National Planning Minister, Senator Udo Udoma; Information and Culture Minister, Mr Lai Mohammed and Finance Minister, Mrs Kemi Adeosun were also present.

President Buhari had submitted a budget proposal of N8.612 trillion to the National Assembly on November 7, 2017 but was passed on May 16, 2018 after it was increased by N508 billion to N9.12 trillion.
