Pinnick Wins CAF Seat For Nigeria
Hayatou may have lost but not all his allies are weeping!
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick has succeeded in his mission to get a place in the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football as he emerged victorious in Thursday's polls.
Pinnick was able to defeat the incumbent and loud-mouthed Moucharafou Anjorin from Benin Republic by 32 to 17 votes at the CAF Elective Congress in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Earlier in the day, Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar; a personal friend of Pinnick secured victory over incumbent Issa Hayatou by 34-20 votes, to become the new CAF president ending Hayatou's 29-year rule.
