BREAKING: PDP Vows NOT To Accept Presidential Election Result
While the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is busy collating results of Saturday’s presidential election from states of the federation, a drama was going on somewhere else.
The drama saw Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) calling an emergency press conference to announce that it will not accept the outcome of the presidential election.
It said the results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission were incorrect and unacceptable to it.
National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, stated this at a press briefing in Abuja.
“As the result trickled in on Sunday, which clearly put the PDP in the lead, the ruling party and president Buhari dispatched high-ranking officials to influence outcomes in different geo-political zones of the country.
“For instance, the Minister of Interior was dispatched to the North-West of the country, meeting with the RECs (Resident Electoral Commissioners) in Kano and Kaduna government houses to manipulate results and figures.
“Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) was dispatched to North-East. He was found in Maiduguri and in Yobe, while the Artoney General and Minister of Justice was dispatched to the South-East and South-South.” He said.
PDP also sited the use of security agencies to manipulate the outcome of the election, as well as violence at some polling units.
