The security agents guarding the INEC office in Osogbo shot a tear gas on Sunday morning as collation of results from Saturday’s gubernatorial elections in Osun State nears its business end.

BOUNCE NEWS’ correspondent at the INEC office in Osogbo explained that the effect of the tear gas though shot outside was also evident inside where the official results were being announced.

It is understood that a crowd of PDP supporters were gathering in front of the INEC premises;  a situation the Police was not comfortable with and were finding difficult to control.

The situation was however brought under control and equally ended in a friendly conversation with the crowd after a top police boss, Omololu Bishi addressed them.

It was gathered that party supporters were mobilized through an SMS that they should head to the INEC office to protect what they believe is an impending victory.

The Police have however denied using tear gas on the people.

Presently, more policemen have been stationed outside to ensure these supporters maintain their position on the other side of the road.
