Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, on Sunday showed up in the African Shrine as Felabration 2018 comes to an end.

His presence drew cheer from the crowd, but his address lasted for few minutes.

Professor Osinbajo said he was on a visit to the Shrine.

The Vice President had barely began to address the crowd when one of the organisers of the Felabration event, Femi Kuti, took the microphone and made a few remarks, leaving Professor Osinbajo standing and smiling.

“I am not a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” he started.

"I have not received any money from the government to have the Vice President present at the Shrine.

"It shall not be well with anyone that will report that I collected money from the government.

"My family stands for integrity and justice and we are against corruption, just like my father,” he said.

At some point, he told the crowd to ask Professor Osinbajo if he collected money from them.

It was a situation that left the Vice President standing on the stage and looking and smiling while Femi Kuti did the talking.

He said he cleared the air so that people would not lie with his name on social media.

After the scenario, the Vice President left the stage, not having time to address the crowd.

This is coming days after a human rights activist asked Nigerian leaders and those seeking the position of the president to listen to Fela's songs and get the solution to Nigeria's problems from them.
