Nigeria international, Victor Moses is out of the race for the 2017 Africa Footballer Of the Year Award.

The Chelsea star was conspicuously missing as CAF released the names of the final three nominees for the top award on Monday.

Moses scaled the first hurdle when the list of nominees was reduced from 30 to 11 but he could not make it into the final shortlist.

As revealed by CAF on Monday, the three players in the running to succeed Algerian star, Riyad Mahrez as African Player Of the Year are Sadio Mane, Pierre Aubameyang and Mohamed Salah who only recently won the BBC African Player of the Year, beat Nigeria's Victor Moses and other rivals to the top prize.

The Aiteo/CAF  Awards Gala will take place on Thursday, 4 January 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
