Idyl has emerged winner of music reality show The Voice Nigeria Season 2.

The finale of the competition held on Sunday evening where the quartet of Syemca, Wow, Ebube and Idyl made it to the last four.

After a series of performances that might not have had effect on the results, it was time to announce the winner.

The audience showed disappointment when the presenter announced Wow as the contestant in 4th place and it got worse when Syemca, emerged in 3rd place.

Even the judges were surprised while Twitter went crazy with disgruntled supporters.

This may go down as one of the most shocking results in the history of music reality shows in Nigeria.

The winner takes home the star prize of a GAC GS4 premium car, a recording contract with Universal Music Africa and an all-expense paid trip to Dubai.

Idyl was coached by Timi Dakolo while Ebube was coached by Patoranking.

The other coaches were music divas, Waje and Yemi Alade who replaced season 1 judge, 2Baba.
