Ghana beat Nigeria 4-1 to win the 2017 WAFU Cup championship on Sunday.

Nigeria had beaten Ghana 2-0 in the last game of the group.

Both sides found their ways to the final, and a second meeting saw Ghana take a revenge to win the 2017 WAFU Cup.

A brace from Sarfo and one goal each from Atingah and Cobbinah helped hosts Ghana beat rivals Nigeria 4-1 to win the WAFU Cup 2017.

Rabiu Ali scored a consolation goal for Nigeria at added time via a well-taken free kick, but Ghana went on to lift the trophy in front of home fans.

Nigeria coach Salisu Yusuf watched his side display terrible defending that saw them concede two penalties that was well converted by Ghana.

“We lost to a good team and it’s a lesson to us. We made so many mistakes and gave three goals away in this final.” Yusuf said after the game.
