Billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, will have to wait till September 5 to know his fate.

His N300 million suit against the Nigeria Police Force, has been adjourned by the Justice Abdulaziz Anka of a Lagos Federal High Court.

The first and second respondents in the suit are the Inspector General of Police, the Nigeria Police Force. The other respondents are the Lagos State Police Commissioner and the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.

The applicant alleged that there has been grave constitutional infraction perpetrated by the respondents as he ought to have been arraigned before the court in accordance with Sections 35 and 36 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The applicant’s father, Stephen Onwuamadike, in an affidavit, claimed that he and other family members have been denied access to his son who is still in the custody of the respondents.

Evans was however absent in court and no reason was given for his absence by the police.
