The Nigeria men's basketball team, D’Tigers have qualified for the semi final of the 2017 FIBA Afrobasket championship.

The team on Thursday defeated Cameroon 106-91 to move a step closer to successfully defending the title they won two years ago.

D'Tigers won all three out of the four quarters to confirm their supremacy of the Lions of Cameroon in Thursday's quarter final contest.

Captain Ike Diogu again led by example as he had the highest points return of 28.

D'Tigers took the first and second quarters of Thursday's game  25-18 and 27-25 respectively.

The Cameroonians however bounce back and won the third quarter at 27-23 but D’Tigers turned on style when it mattered most as they blew away their opponent in the final quarter 31-21.
