The Catalans have hit another brick wall in their quest for Independence.

Spanish judicial authorities have barred any attempt by the Catalan parliament to hold a session and discuss matters arising after the referendum which held on October 1.

The court described such a move as "a breach of the constitution".

Earlier, Prime Minister Mario Rajoy warned Catalonia's regional government against declaring independence after a disputed vote last Sunday.

Catalan leader Carles Puidgemont has indicated that he could make such a declaration early next week.
