We earlier brought you a report that Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and that of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN Oby Ezekwesili would sign the peace accord this afternoon.

The peace accord is a commitment from all the candidates of the 2019 presidential elections to accept the outcome of the poll even if it isn’t in their favour.

Report reaching Bounce News say the PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar has just penned his signature to the peace pact at past noon on Wednesday (today).

Atiku was accompanied to the signing by some of his supporters and the PDP chairman Uche Secondus. Leader of the National Peace Accord, Abdulsalami Abubakar supervised the signing.

It is not clear yet if Ezekwesili has also signed.

The two prominent presidential candidates were not present when President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress signed the accord in Abuja on Tuesday.

The National Peace Accord was convened by eminent Nigerians led by a former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd).
