The Nigerian striker, Ahmed Musa, who has not fit into the plans of Manager Claude Puel since the beginning of the season, has decided to retrace his steps by returning to his former club.

The 25-year-old joined the former Premier League champions, Leicester, for £16m in 2016 and scored five goals in 33 games for the club.

Musa has made just one appearance this season.

He had been linked with other Premier League sides this month, including West Brom, But he will now return to Russia, where he scored 42 league goals in his first stint for CSKA.
