Nigerian queen, Tobi Amusan won gold at the 2018 African Senior Athletics Championship in the 100m women’s hurdles event.
She ran a time of 12.86 second to finish ahead of her competitors inside the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Thursday.
3) Man To Die By Hanging For Butchering Boss In Gombe
Bingel Mohammed had an argument with his boss, Alhaji Umaru Beyo Ardo.
The altercation, which got so heated, led to a quarrel and eventual death of Alhaji Ardo.
The suspect was said to have butchered Ardo with a cutlass hitting him first on the leg, hand and head.

A 45 year old man named Julius Ochim has been arrested by Police in Ogun State for impregnating his own daughter (name withheld) in Sagamu.
The man was arrested following a complaint by the girl who reported to the police.
6) 4 Months Old Aborted Fetus Dumped In Street
Shop owners within No. 25 Alo Street in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State Capital forcefully shutdown their stalls following a four months old fetus dumped within the area.
Passersby also stopped to take a gaze at the object and discovered it was a lifeless body of an aborted fetus.
7) Abeokuta Flood Victims Count Their Losses
15 days after flood waters ravaged parts of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, victims of the disaster are still counting their losses.
At Ijeun Titun and Gbangba, the community currently looks isolated. Some residents have refused to return home.
Four persons including an 80-year-old woman and a pregnant woman are still missing at Ijeun-Titun.
8) Gas Explosion Kills Fresh Graduate
The 25-year-old lady named Oluwaseun Falade died from gas explosion caused by vibration from her phone call.
Miss Falade, who finished her Higher National Diploma (HND) programme at Gateway Polytechnic, Isara Remo in Ogun state in April, studied Bio Chemistry.
She was awaiting her National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) call up letter by February 2019.
