Anyanwu told Bounce News that he first suspected something was wrong when his wife refused to have sex with him.

The disgruntled man believes that his wife is divorcing him because of a prophecy she heard during a church service.

Emeka Anyanwu claims the prophecy has ruined his life with his wife Ifeoma to whom he has been married for 12 years.

The family resides at number 12 Bello Street, Mafoluku Oshodi.

Bounce News gathered that the Pastor of the church (name withheld) had prophesied to the Ifeoma that her husband killed their first son and he is planning to kill the remaining three children.

Ifeoma had confronted her husband and told him that a prophet from her church had foreseen that their remaining children will die if she fails to bring her husband for cleansing.

Anyanwu, however, rejected the claim and vowed not to follow her to the church.

The frustrated husband told Bounce News that he is struggling to make sense of the prophecy, saying, “I was surprised because the prophet is married. Why would a man break another man’s marriage with his false prophecy?” he asked.

Anyanwu, who is an Anglican, said he tried to stop his wife from attending the Pentecostal church but she insisted.

The divorce suit is currently before Justice T.O Shomade of the Ogba Magistrate court.

When the matter was heard in court, the judge asked that the wife and husband should see him behind closed doors with their counsels.

The case has been adjourned to July 22 for mentioning.
