February is ending on a great note for Bounce News and its audience.

A video produced some months before the #LibyaSlaveTrade issue began has earned the online media outfit another international award.

The video published in August 2017, showed the hassles Nigerians go through in search of greener pastures in Europe.

This quest that has left hundreds of people stranded in Libya while some have been enslaved in this 21st Century.

#BeninToEurope: How Nigerians Travel To Europe By Land, came into being after the Bounce News crew traveled to Benin City, Edo State, to uncover some hidden truths about the journey tagged "50/50 Dead or Alive".

It was an investigative piece that showed some human trafficking syndicates, some persons that have been approached to take part in the journey and those willing to embark on the senseless journey.

It usually begins from the south-south city and then to the northern part of Nigeria, through the desert to eventual arrival at Libya, where the traveller is ferried into Europe most times with an inflated boat through the Mediterranean Sea.  

Bounce News received the award for best Investigative Journalism piece at the maiden edition of 24.com Awards organised by South African based Media24.

On November 6, 2017; Bounce News won the Best News and Entertain category at the 2017 Apps Africa Awards.
