Dare Adeogun was a hungry man with no money.

So, he decided to throw caution to the wind by stealing a cooking pot and food stuff.

The incident happened at BRT bus stop in Igando, a suburb of Lagos.

Adeogun was however arrested by the police at the Igando division.

Bounce News gathered that items recovered from him include: one small pot, a tin of tomato, some quantity of beans and rice, a cooking spoon and other condiments.

Adeogun reportedly went to the compound where the owner resides, stole the items and was trying to escape when he ran out of luck.

He admitted that he had no money to buy food, he decided to steal the items and was going home to cook it before he was accosted by the police.

He was brought before the Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo where he pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor, Nathaniel Simon asked the court for short adjournment to present facts of the matter for the court to sentence him accordingly.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola ordered the accused be remanded in prison custody pending when the prosecutor presents the facts.
