Mind what you say, you will be held accountable for its impact.

He didn't mean to cause any panic but it was a joke taking too far.

A teenager was arrested on Monday at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport for claiming he was in possesion of a bomb.

While boarding a domestic flight to the northern city of Chiang Rai, the 14-year-old boy was asked for his ticket.

He was carrying two bags when he asked the attendant to pick the ticket from his pocket; but he added a warning.

“The passenger, who was carrying bags in both hands, asked the flight attendant to take the ticket from his jacket pocket.

“Be careful. I have a bomb,” police spokesman, Krisana Pattanacharoen, said.

According to an official at the Airport, the accused's comment prompted the cabin crew to evacuate the passengers.

The police said that the security officers after carrying out a search on the plane found no explosives.

The accused might be jailed for misleading and embarrasing the crew and all passengers on board.

“He was charged with causing panic on an aircraft with false information, which can carry three to five years in prison.

“As a minor, he may receive a more lenient sentence if convicted,’ Pattanacharoen added.
