Three years after they fled their homes and sought refuge in Cameroun due to Boko Haram attacks, they are back to their motherland.

The refugees returned to their original homes in Bama local government area of Borno State on Saturday.

The evacuation was led by Executive Secretary of Borno State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Alkali at Banki, the border town between Nigeria and Cameroon.

The returnees received were given relief items such as rice, beans, mats, and blankets.

Most of the returnees are originally from Banki, Gulumba village as well as Bama town, all in Bama LGA .
