The former National Vice-Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olabode George, has inaugurated his national campaign office.

He becomes the first aspirant to open an office among the eight vying for the position.

The office is located at No 31, Pope John Paul road, Off Gana street, Abuja.

The flag-off of the campaign office was done by Adamu Maina Waziri.

Others at the event include: former Minister of Special Duties, Wole Oyelese, Senator Victor Oyofo,and Raymond Dokpesi, another aspirant for the position.


Already, George has appointed zonal coordinators for the six geo-political zones of the federation to boost support for his aspiration.

The coordinators are Ibrahim Aliyu, Director General; Rabiu Gambo Kokori, (Coordinator North-West); A.Y Gambo, (Coordinator, North East) and Raymond Dabo, Coordinator North Central.

Others include: Innocent Agbo (Coordinator South East);  Peter Monye (Coordinator South-South), while Tajudeen Oladipupo also former Deputy National Chairman is to coordinate the South-West.

George had on October 6, flagged off campaign for the Chairmanship slot of the PDP in Lagos at a ceremony which held at City Hall.

The party's convention where the new chairman will emerge will hold on December 9.
