A Nigerian is part of the hype of the highly anticipated Black Panther movie starring Lupita Nyong’o, Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan.

To help ‘sell the movie which comes out in the first quarter of 2018, Marvel has released a new comic books based on the character.

The first of the new comic book miniseries is written by Nigerian author, Nnedi Okorafor, and is entitled  'Black Panther: Long Live The King'.

'Long Live The King' is the latest book in Marvel’s line of ComiXology-exclusive digital comics (which eventually get printed as collections).

In July this year Okorafor also announced via Twitter that her novel, ‘Who Fears Death’ was picked up by HBO to become a TV series with novelist and Game of Thrones producer, George R.R. Martin, joining the project as an executive producer.

Okoroafor is a  Nigerian American writer of fantasy, science fiction, and speculative fiction.
