Beyonce Buys Church For Her Worshippers
Normally 50 people attend the Wednesday night service at the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco in America, but more than 900 showed up for the Beyonce themed Mass held on April 25.
The church hosted the Beyonce Mass as part of the church's weekly services aimed at targeting young worshipers .
This 'kind gesture' has inspired the Grammy Award winning singer to buy a cathedral in New Orleans.
According to TMZ, Beyonce bought the 100 year old church for $850,000 (which translates to about 306 million Naira).
With this new development, Beyonce might be planning to move her real 'worshipers' to a permanent site.
Revered Yolanda Norton, who spoke on behalf of Grace Cathedral, said they are using Beyonce as a conversation piece to talk about God in a worship service.
The church service held at the Episcopal church involves non-traditional musical selections by Beyonce.
This includes: 'Listen', 'Freedom' 'Flaws and All', 'I Was Here', and 'Survivor' followed by Bible readings and prayer.
