BEWARE! Fake Copies Of Jonathan’s New Book Hits Nigerian Market
So, the electronic version of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s new book, My Transition Hours, which was launched on Tuesday is now circulating online.
That sounds like a great thing. The only problem is, the book has no e-version yet. It only has the hard copy which is available in select online shops and offline book stores across Nigeria.
So, one would say that “smart” guys are trying to benefit from the popularity of the new book.
But the problem appears more complicated than that as a new book, hard copy, with the same title and purportedly written by Jonathan is also circulating offline.
On Thursday, Jonathan raised alarm over the presence of the books, warning Nigerians to beware of them.
“We have just been informed that a fake document contrived by mischief makers is being passed on as the e-version and hard copy of the just launched #MyTransitionHours” Jonathan wrote on his verified Twitter handle, @GEJonathan.
“We advise the general public to ignore such publication as the chapters and contents are not the same as the book publicly presented two days ago in Abuja.
“Also, note that the e-copy of #MyTransitionHours ’is not being marketed, as such, the fake online version could only have been created by those out to deceive the unsuspecting public,” he tweeted.
