While some Nigerian musicians are testing their social media popularity using the Benue flood victims, a band in far away South Africa is taking action.

The South African band, Micasa is coming to the rescue of victims of natural disasters in Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

The band revealed this in a tweet which reads: “We will be hosting a concert with industry friends to raise funds for Sierra Leone and Nigeria ... details to be announce soon! #WeAreFamilia”

The free concert will be done to provide aid to victims of the Sierra Leone mudslide, and people forced to flee their homes due to flood waters in Benue.

Funds from the concert are expected go to directly to these people.

Micasa have been invited to Nigeria a number of times to perform at shows held in Lagos.

Over the last two weeks, floods have ravaged communities in Benue where villages, farmlands and food storage facilities were washed away.

Sadly, over a thousand people have died from the mudslide and flood that hit Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown nearly two weeks ago.

Nigerian musicians are you seeing this?
