Beach Volleyball: Nigeria Set To Compete Against France, Others
Four Beach Volleyball players will be representing Nigeria at the invitational tournament in Yaoundé, Cameroon on the 29th of December.
The scribe of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Adamu Maikano said the contingents comprises of two males (Hilary and Obayemi) and females ( Tochukwu Nnoruga & Ikhiede Francisca) while Imoudu Francis is the coach
The players and the officials have since left the shores of the country and are expected to compete with other countries in the one-day tournament.
The tournament which is an international event with teams from France, Canada, USA, DRC & Cameroon will be a 1-day clinic for both men and women categories, and it will be a total of 16 teams per gender equally divided in 4 pools.
The first 2 teams from each pool will advance to the 8th final.
The president of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation who also doubles as the Chairman of the Beach Volleyball Commission, Musa Nimrod has wished the teams a successful outing in the international tournament.
The country’s representatives are expected back in Nigeria on the 30th of December, 2017.
