Beach Soccer World Cup: Nigeria Coach Sets Semi Final Target
The Super Sand Eagles coach, Audu Adamu has set an ambitious semi final target for his team at the 2017 Beach Soccer World Cup which will be take place in Bahamas from April 27 - May 7, 2017.
Coach Audu in a chat with Bounce News said he and his players are ready to give the World Cup their best shot and he is positive that they can achieve the target they have set for themselves.
“We are optimistic that we can do well in Bahamas, it is not the first time that we are playing at that level (World Cup) so it is only logical that we task ourselves to improve on our personal best which is a quarter final finish,” the Coach stated
Nigeria will face Italy, Mexico and a yet to be determined Asian champions in Group B of the 2017 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas.
The Supersand Eagles finished as runners-up at the 2016 African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations in Lagos to qualify for the tournament where they will be hoping to surpass their previous quarter-final best after missing out of the last two editions.
Coach Audu also hinted on the plans of the Nigeria team to hit Ghana to play some friendly games as part of preparations for the World Cup
