Despite winning their last group game against Bukavu Blinks, Taraba Hurricanes have been eliminated from the ongoing Total national Division 2 Final 8 taking place in Lagos.

Solomon Umar proved to be the star player for the Hurricanes with 29 points, 3 assists and 9 rebounds to hand his team their first win of the competition.

Hurricanes defeated Bukavu Blinks by 81 points to 69 to bow out of the competition on a high with player/coach, Daddy Peter also weighing in with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.

After the first quarter ended with 18 points apiece, Taraba Hurricanes dominated and won the remaining 3 quarters, 12-11, 26-17, 25-23.

For Bukavu Blinks, they had to rely on Adamu Yusuf and AbdulKareem Yahaya who scored 20 points each.

Meanwhile, Golden Touch were too golden for Cola City Kings from Enugu in the first match of the day at the ongoing Total Division 2 National Finals.

GT inflicted a third straight defeat on the Kings from Enugu with 10 points.

The game ended 73 points to 63 in favour of GT.

Usman Dauda was the highest scorer for GT with 25 points, while the duo of Tanko Yusuf and Musa Mohammed both weighed in with 15 points each.
