A traditional ruler has been arrested in connection with the fresh attack reportedly carried out by the dreaded ‘Badoo’ cult group on a family in Ibeshe.

Alaka Abayomi, who is the Baale of Ipakodo, a town on the outskirt of Ikorodu, was arrested following intelligence reports that he collaborates with the dreaded group.

The Badoo gang has killed and maimed several residents within the Ikorodu axis of the state.

Reports suggest the cult in its latest attack killed a couple, two of their children, while the third kid was said to be in coma.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday in Oke Ota community, Ibeshe. The children were reportedly aged between five and one. Two of them were identified as Siyin and Ajoke.

The arrest of Abayomi, a resident of Magodo area of the state, led to the Police’ invasion of a shrine allegedly owned by the cult in Agbowa area of Ikorodu on Monday.

Following the invasion of the shrine three suspected members of the group have been arrested.

Some ritual objects and juju were also found in the compound which was fenced with charms to scare away intruders.
