Nigeria’s Super Falcons have qualified for the final of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations after beating Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses 4-2 via penalty shootout.

Both could not find the back of the net at regulation time. The game went into extra-time and still, no goal was scored.

Both sides settled for penalty shootout after 120 minutes of action, and it was the defending champions who prevailed.

 Goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi had stopped a shot before another Cameroon player missed her shot to gift Nigeria a 4-2 victory.

The result also means the Super Falcons have qualified for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
